margot, my new best friend. my Fairy Vintage Giving God-Mother, courtney spotted it at a vintage clothing swop this summer and i've been dying to wear it ever since. she's named after margot tenenbaum and her favorite fur coat from the royal tenenbaums, duh. peta friendly and warm (real fur grosses me out - i don't eat meat and i'm not wearing their fur, thanks) - happiness!

so it turns out, ariel and friends were on their way to see their friends submarine race (like a car race but with model submarines) and they stumbled upon SALVATION MOUNTAIN in Slab City (the desert!). A cute lil man has spent the last 25 years creating this "magically quaint" desert art with donated supplies...for god so he says. some "pit stop"
