OLD winter layers

COLD night on Elizabeth street w/ kurt and Jas maybe 2 winters ago. I never liked wearing winter coats - instead i always layered...happy i grew out of that style. Burrr

Who needs sweaters to stay warm when you have a bunch of polyester shirts?

yyyyy does polyester generate so much heat? YUCK. this one has cute mini sized leaves on it. thank god i layered with something a lil more natural than vintage poly

Cut-out oxfords

blogged about getting these oxfords back in september. i like.

btw - im watching last weeks ugly betty (caught up on a marathon recently and i've been addicted ever since) and it upsets me that the papz don't stalk amanda in real life. she proally doesn't put as much effort into her wardrobe as her character does, but can i be the judge of that please?

Meet Gladys

she's the perfect shade of green with purple buttons. i bought Gladys from one of my favorite vintage shops in williamsburg about 5 years ago when i lived there. The hottest lil married couple owned it and i miss them and their shop since they closed down a year or 2 ago. i think the girl's name was paulette - so stylish and adorable. anyways, i wore this grandma coat to death for a couple of winters. thank god i didn't loose it in one of my fung-shei attacks because i still think she's great.

Missing

: long gray cardigan and pink-ish plaid flannel button down.
I've searched my 1 room apartment high and low and still nothing. so annoying!

Hips

really not sure when i grew my mischa barton hips, but a - here they are. i'm sure it's just an optical illusion. haysus.

sorry for the GIANT football player size pic but i need to pay homage to the cute embroidered detail on my vintage jumper that i bought off the street last month. the thing in the middle is a pocket making it the 3rd pocket since it has 2 on the side. gotta love how everything made in the 70's has lovely side pockets!

Flowers

at work, there's nothing better than getting the "you have a package in the messenger room" voicemail. Cause it means flowerrrrrssss! sadly tho, these are not from a boy...just an appreciative co-worker.

Old Dirty Shoes

pulled out my OLD clarks from college (remember these James?) and boy did I forget how they feel like heaven on velvet clouds.

How Bad Can Work Suck?

so bad that I let Broken Social Scene tix go just to stay home and prepare for work. My professional life is less than delightful - it's just gotta get better soon :( The only real joy in my life tonight is knowing that I'm dvr'n Gossip Girl and the new Project Runway!

Dressed in all black

OK now that that's out of the way let's talk about my sweatshirt dress that i decided to wear long over jeans today. Well I love it and I have it in gray too!
yes that is the opposite of everything original but when shopping retail ( aka not off the street/in the flea/or thrifting) get 2. i mean how great would it be to have 2 of your favorite shirt or cardigan or jeans i ask.

Played the umbrella game tonight

sounds ridic but sometimes when you get caught in rain you have to play the umbrella game where you secretly find a dry space under a strangers umbrella. This works best with very large umbrellas at cross walks. so anyway - question to self: self, why do all of my Free People clothes seem to look like pajamas?

Finally got my jacket out of the cleaners

Everly Bear

Anthony Kiedis named his lil baby boy Everly Bear - and I can't stop falling in love with it. Makes my heart go "awwww". Adding it to my list of favorite names, now I just need to have something to actually name - like a baby or a puppy or something.

I'm still here...

just been caught up in the fog for the last couple of weeks but things are better now. Ahhh life has been more than foggy :( ANYWAYS...if the below emotionally and other nameless things fueled performance is too much for you - please at least enjoy the featured 70's/80's typical reggae wardrobe choices. Y can't all boys dress like this?
