the Creators Project Pt. 1

art and music and free drinks and video games and short films and free cheese burgers without the burgers - the creators project (vice and intel at milk studio). fun - really. mark ronson, maya also known as m.i.a., interpol (incredible by the way), neon indian, the rapture. i can't remember it all. so i wanted to wear something that was me aka not too cool and def not party girl so i found this old white vintage sundress in my closet that i never ever wear because its kinda sheer. it worked. its like a huge girly pillowcase that some granny made a dress out from. spike jonze project? "I'm here" watch it if you already haven't. *tear for love.
cool stuff everywhere. (i mean amazing interactive intallations and such) i can't explain or i am just too lazy, look - you should have been there.
georgia.
her dress is super long but you can't tell that in this pic.
this little girl. so much fun to watch her having fun. she's with her dad. awww :(
here i am again. i don't think i lost anything even tho i clearly look like i did.
p.s. i have like 30 pictures of mark ronson in my camera...ahhhh.

confetti dress

thrifted vtg sundress. new shoes from dsw. a little big but for some reason i got a scary rush of "its now or never" and got them.
went home and tried to have a 1:1 meeting with scout about life in the back of the jeep.
we drove past a lady selling old stuff. of course we had to stop. this is what i got...
klee print from 1977
and a hodge podge of old grannie glasses - from the '60's?

its suppose to be 90 degrees this week

winter 2010

i LOVE ny

emma had her first bike ride, roof top party, picnic & flea market journey this month.
new grannie shirt from the hester st. flea (didn't even notice that sign when i took this picture). i also got a denim jumper. i'm koo-koo for 70's jumpers.
thrift shop dress that i got in l.a. last month
on the search for governor's island? ferry entrance was closed. have you been? what's there? is it fun?
i love you so

funny

The Hills

went to la for the weekend and i wore a bunch of vintage dresses even though i was freezing.
i wear this army jacket everyday. i got it for ariel at a flea market in paris but then i took it back last spring.
who thrift shops in hollywood? me. slip/sundress for me & navaho scarf for emma.
some of the shoes that i packed. $50 in baggage fees later.
just seeing the black tights & boots combo makes me miss them already.

i got this dress off the street for like $5. Some model girl was purging her closet of vintage goods one day on houston and i got this and some other stuff. it has a hole and too much fabric - it needs some work but it was fine for last night.

happy summer to me::::

me

all sketched up.
will i ever post here again? it has been ages and there are no pics in sight! i do have fashiony updates (sold more vintage gems, bought more thrifty gems, wearing new stripes from american apparel, o and the very best - i ordered peep toe hasbeens look alikes, sorta).
guess i'm just taking a mini-break.
be back soon.
promise.
mean it.
