i went to ACL for a work this weekend. of course it rained (because i was there). mud everywhere.

but that didn't stop me from seeing grizzly bear. heart. heart.heart. heart.
m introduced me to them when they did their first album a few years ago. BLISS.

old favorite: artic monkeys
also saw and or just heard: the virgins, the dead weather (o jack white on drums - aww), kings of leon (me and the 14 yr olds), them crooked vultures, mos def (lame but his radiohead cover of "all i need" MADE MY DAY. click here for the real thing), phoenix & girl talk.
my FAIL: so i missed bon iver - i know i know bad fail on my end but i couldn't deal with the mansune. and i tried to see karen o give it her all but i was too late. sad.
and i made a point to see passion pit - they were hot and tired like all of us but it was worth sliding down the mud hill to see them.

BUT enuff about that - what i really need to do is document my travels with thrifty finds. i had about an hour to spare and shopped like a mad woman. here is what i got:

INSANE vintage jacket for moi - has some holes but i don't care - love. i've been wanting something like this ever since we found a long military jacket for ariel at sals back in 2001.

a wintery sister bag to my springy basket weave bag that i got in may. found it at the cutest vintage shop called feathers. i wish that shop was mine :(

a RIDICULOUS cropped wool military jacket that i will be selling v soon for a million dollars hopefully.

as for my austin wardrobe. well hmm... so i got matching black moccasin boots to courtneys and ariels tan ones. they served me well all weekend.

found a huge hole in the back of this dress after i was already at the park - so i put packing tape on it to close it up which kinda made it stick out some. hahaha. fun.
